Robots Out of Time
[ Developed for the GDevelop 6th BIG Game Jam - Multiplayer Edition ]
The Clock Tower has stopped working and all of mankind appears to be stuck in time! It's up to our Robot friends to fix it and save us. Work together in this 2-4 Player Online Co-op Adventure as the Robots to save all of mankind!
Scope creep definitely got to me in this jam. I started working on this from Saturday Nov 2nd full-time until today, Sunday Nov 10. I hope you enjoy!
In case of any disconnects, keep in-mind the host keeps level progress!
[KNOWN ISSUES]
- If the connection isn't good enough between host and players, the game breaks very easily. If playing with a group, choose the player who lives closest to everyone as the host to avoid this!
- You can get an infinite loading screen if someone hasn't loaded in properly. If one player chooses to disconnect, every player gets sent back to the main menu. The host keeps level progress, so you can continue playing where you left off!
- Player can get infinitely stuck in the object holding state without holding anything. The only fix is restarting the level for now. Avoid this by not grabbing the same object as another player at the same time
- Player windup animations aren't synced properly / other player's animation doesn't play
- Player collision is sometimes very strange
- Enemies deaths sometimes desync
- Gamepad left stick doesn't register for any menus (nor gameplay)

- X to put object down (alt: mouse right-click)
- C to call for help
- Escape to pause (alt: Enter)

*Not very intuitive and stick doesn't work atm. I recommend keyboard for now
